Partial Denture or Bridge

Partials and Full Dentures are made by a local lab.  The process involves several impressions and visits in order to get the best results.  The goal is to have a denture that is comfortable with a snug fit without adhesive.  Over the years, a patient with a full denture may experience bone loss and will need to have the denture relined to fit or use denture adhesive.
A partial is made when a patient still has some original teeth remaining that are healthy enough to use as anchor teeth.  The partial is made over several steps just as the denture.  Sometimes, depending on the remaining teeth, if a tooth is lost after a partial is made it can be added to the existing partial.  There are different options available when having a partial made.  Dr. Hutchison will discuss all of them at your consultation appointment.
